TIER: exports hit by sluggish US demand
Latest survey shows drives for growth are likely to remain bleak
Taiwanese exporters in July were adversely affected by the sluggish US demand. While still in the positive domain, export growth slowed substantially. Exports in July grew by 8.0% year on year (YoY), or USD 22.87 billion. Despite the fading export strength, import figure is still rampant.
