Grace Chung is a Researcher at the Taiwan Institute
of Economic Research (TIER). She is currently the Director of the
Department of International Affairs. TIER is the top think tank
in Taiwan, also serves as the Secretariats for ABAC, PECC and PBEC,
as well as the APEC Study Center that provides action-oriented support
to government, business and other stakeholders.
She was previously appointed by Tsai, Ing-wen, President of Taiwan,
ROC as an Alternate Member of the APEC Business Advisory Council
(ABAC). She was Deputy Director of Division of International Affairs
at the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). She has previously served
as the Director General, Pacific Basin Economic Council (PBEC).
Dr. Chung received her Baccalaureate in Social Sciences Economics,
magna cum laude, from the University of Ottawa, Canada and MA Economics
at California University of Los Angeles, and a Doctorate degree
in International Relations from the Tunghai University in Taiwan.
