Mission Statement

The Mission of Research Division VI, Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER), is to actively conduct research in the areas of macroeconomics, financial and monetary markets, knowledge-intensive business service sector, industrial value added, and recently, transportation economics. Upon completing its research, the Division then periodically presents its findings to the government, companies, and also the academia for reference in order to stimulate economic development.

Division VI currently has a strong team composed of 15 academically accomplished and experienced research fellows, and consultants of great renown from public and private sectors and the academia. Under the combined effort of everyone on the staff, the scale of our research along with the number of research findings continues to grow. In addition, our researchers have been recognized for the diligence and enthusiasm with which they provide the public and private sectors with research findings and consulting services of division's area of expertise. Division VI will continue to actively promote global affairs and cooperation and exchange between TIER and other international academia institutions.
