2010/09/28   The 11 th International Conference on Industrial Technology Innovation-Taipei, Taiwan

In the wake of global financial shock in 2008 and 2009, the continuing turmoil still has substantial impact to world financial and economy systems until today. Many policy-makers, economists and entrepreneurs are conservative towards the ‘normal’ global economy growth.
Amidst the cloud of uncertain economic rebound, some developing trends are relatively transparent. The Asian emerging economies are leading the recovery from global economy down turn. Industrial structure shift and job-creation become major policy focus. Innovations are the key strength at the center of the recovery. Healthier and greener eco-system is definitely crucial for survival of mankind - sustainable development and economic development are equally important and will be the coming challenges for the years to come.

In recognizing above issues, the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) of Taiwan decides to host the 11th annual international conference on industrial technology innovation. The purpose of this conference, which titled “Transformation through service innovation and green growth”, is to discuss subjects regarding to “Industry Transformation and Innovation Policies in Asian Pacific”, “Transformation through Service Innovation”, “ICTs to facilitate the transition to an energy-efficient, low-carbon economy”.
This conference gathers international renowned scholars, industrial experts and entrepreneurs to generate meaningful insights collectively. We sincerely hope that the conference could raise awareness to work on precedent challenges and opportunities in the time of uncertainty.
